Hello, I have a project that need to arrange the container on ground. I think mograph with grid type is best way to do, I can random it in color.etc.
but the the big issue is random height level on it ( random y count ), I actually test with two clones insite the parent clone, and blend it.

Hi phuc_trantan,

Please have a look at the file below:
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/8OoDLbQC1SLnVenAhr2akX4TmX1mO5q6iYeeIwGBLDb

Please note that I have set the Bounce to zero, and each container is a tiny little bit smaller than the Cloner size.
I hope I got your question correctly, and since the stacks are randomly in different heights, the next on top of it would be placed at the summary of the ones below. The dynamics are the simplest way to get this sorted. I have cached the scene. If you like to have those static, use the Current State To Object.

All the best

Thanks for the feedback, phuc_trantan.

You’re welcome.

I think anything else needs way more preparation. You could use cubes (set to Shape> Box), and at the moment they have settled in, those can be used as a matrix. So the replacements are simple. Also, the use of MoGraph-Selection might help to alter the stacks.

Enjoy your project.

Cheers

Thanks for your reply, I attach my project with the same size of container, and if i follow your guide but dosent work because the size of container block is the same size, but you create 2 cube in the mograph. I used redshift for render in the project bellow.

Thanks for the information, phuc_trantan,

Your initial question was not clear if you use different heights of containers or wanted different numbers of containers per stack. Since different heights of containers are the greater challenges, I focused on that. The comment with two containers and ‘blend’ made me think of different container heights.

To have just different amounts of Containers per stack in a single setup, you can just produce what you need as the max amount for all and then use the MoGraph Selection to select the ones you don’t like have. While the selection is active, you can choose,
Main Menu> MoGraph> Hide Selected.
Not a single step more is needed.

Thanks for taking the time, phuc_trantan!

Let me know if there is anything else; I’m happy to look into it.

My best wishes for your project.

Hi phuc_trantan,

Since you mentioned that you need many of those stacks: Here is a more parametrically solution. (Less art-directing)
I have set the Noise to global, which means that it will create a completely different outcome when you move the Container Stack. The screen-capture is more about where to adjust this set-up. It is more work to set it up, but the re-use will pay off.

I hope it is useful for you.

Hi, Sassi. I have another question about your file and for some file I dowloaded in internet. You have Folder Macosx that have the cinema 4d file insite, why this size is 214b whereas the normal size is more bigger than it.

Hi phuc_trantan,

The files that I send out are zipped, which is a compression of the file. To “zip” a file means to take the original file and use an application that can compress it. Compression is (simplified) a try to find patterns or repetitions in a file structure. If an image has hundred red pixels, all the same, a compression would say 100x red instead of red, red, red, and so on. This helps to get files smaller. If there is a pattern, then this would be handled similarly.

On the other hand, the zip format is often accepted. Standard file formats are not. A nice side effect is, if the zip file opens, it arrived as it should, not compromised, and the de-compressing reveals an untouched original file.

There are other compression options available, but I do not touch them at all. Some are open source, and they might contain code that can harm one’s computer.

All the best
