Can anyone look at this file and tell me why I can see everything in preview but even with a light in the scene it renders black?

Hi rcates,

Thanks for the file.

Please use the Main Menu> Windows> Project Asset Manager… (perhaps that shows only here as a problem, the images were not in a tex folder)

The object is reflective and needs something to reflect, e.g., a simple Sky object will do better if the Sky object has a 360ºx180º image.

Let me know if that helped.

(Going by other reports, the WEB has some problems today, I can’t upload even to Amazon-cloud.)

Cheers

Will check as time allows - what I’m reading makes sense however there’s probably an environment in my file (here) where it’s visible in the preview yes/no? I didn’t send it but will try this later. I’m winding down for the holiday so it may not be today.

As always - thank you for being available to further my C4D education. It does not go unappreciated.

Hi Randy,

You’re very welcome.

I found five images in the file with no environment.

Let me know if you have anything else. I’m happy to look into it.

Enjoy Thanksgiving.
