Hello, my question is regarding the shader field section of this tutorial. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to align an image neatly onto a grid array with no clipping of the edges of the image used for the texture. I have created a zip file with a simple scene and a png but I’m getting a MIME type error. In my example, the image used in the shader field has a solid red border that I would like also aligned with the borders of the grid array, however much of the image exists beyond the edges of the grid array, and I cannot seem to get them lined up. Another issue is that camera and cloner movements alter the alignment, also demonstrated in the example. My end goal is to use the shader field to impose an image neatly and completely onto a grid array, and to have the alignment locked in place, independent of camera and cloner movements. Thank you, James.

Hi James,

Please check your Private Messages here on Cineversity. I have sent you an upload link.
I will get an email from dropbox when files arrive; no further actions needed.

I will have a look at it ASAP.

Cheers

Thanks for the file, James, that was helpful.

The Projection was set to Frontal. This means that the screen (Editor view) is used to project the image from that editor view frame and parallel from there. It will not change, it is independent of any camera or object move.

I have recorded a short little clip.
Screencapture and project file:

Perhaps check out the list of projections.

Let me know if that works for you.

All the best, stay safe, stay healthy.

Yes, this is exactly what I was trying to accomplish, thank you! Checking out that help section now, and so deeper into the rabbit hole I tumble.

I’m wishing you and whoever may read this the same good fortune and look forward to learning more here with the community.

Yes, every question here will hopefully provide something for others as well.
I got that some people think that the forum is like a WIKI already, which means: I’m grateful for any question.
