Rendering negative frame range.

Hello!
There is a question.
Is there any possibility to start output rendering from a negative frame?
-50 to 50 for example?
I know about a montage solution, but wondering whether it is possible to do it straight from c4d!
Thanks!

Hi alexey.garmash,

Negative frames are possible to prepare a scene based information, like a pre-run of particles.

However, the Render Settings will not allow for a negative number.

If you have negative keyframes, you might select all of them and move them in one step.
If there is any Xpresso, for example, which is set up without the ability to work with this, you might re-write it.

I often get a question and the request to solve it. The problem exists because the project was tried to be solved in the wrong direction. Any solution given at that point, would cement the wrong direction and patch it with a detour solution. So my question, where negative frames come from, to begin with. What is the purpose of such? Even most compositing apps can’t deal with negative frame numbers of images sequences.

Let me know, and I hope to find the right workflow for you.

Cheers

P.S.:

Here is an example of how to work with a negative starting point. File “…ANnf_01.c4d” [ANimation negative frame]
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/5HKn0hHw2kVWxz2s67DJEPUZhOZ83yW3PuzqBPHjQCO
Open the file “…ANpf_01.c4d” [positive frame]

The idea is to set up your scene for whatever reason you need negative frames. (Not suggested at all, but here you go), and use an XRef to offset the whole thing, except Xpresso (the number in the left lower corner) and perhaps other expressions. To a certain degree, that lets you render in positive frame counts, as it should be.

Cheers
