Hi,
I’m trying to get the cv-interactive morph tag to work
but I seem to be doing something wrong.
The pose morph isn’t reacting to the interaction tag for some reason.
Please see the attached test file.
Any tips or solutions?
Thank you so much!
Leo

So far the answer seems to be in post #10

Hi Leo,

Sorry for deleting the file, but the code is not for public download, and it was part of the file. Thanks for understanding.

Have you been in the “Move-Tool” while trying?

All the best

Hi Dr Sassi,
Yes of course - my bad!

That is so interesting.
The original file works for you as I understand it?

Do you have the possibility of testing it in r16 please?
Which c4d version are you running?
Thank you for taking the time,
Leo

Hi Leo,

I tried with R16, and I got no results. (If no mentioning of a version/release, I work with the current. People work in different places with different releases, so I do not apply previous posts question)

I tired even an older version of that script, and got the same. I have move this thread to another Forum.

My best wishes.

Things constantly change, Leo.

I can’t tell in detail what, as you can see in the need for updates of plug ins for example, that is a natural thing. I can’t tell how much code relies on the “Core” Python version (not the C4D core on you computer is beyond me, and two years is a long time in coding. But again, I’m not a coder and will not even pretend to tell what needed to be changed. So, we might need to wait for the one who has written the script.

The script has a debug option, if set to True, then you can see what happens in the Console.

My best wishes.

Are you running r17 or r18 when it works?

Leo, always on the latest.

If not specified, I use Studio as main app, but if a different version is in required, I have it.

All the best

You’re welcome, Leo! :o)

BTW, I tested again, and a new scene as well, R16 fails, R17 and R18 works.

To be more complete, I created a scene in R16, even if it didn’t work there, and opened it in R17 and R18: both cases—it worked.
The other way around, creating a little scene in R18 and open it in R17 with success, but in R16 not at all.

In all cases, the Pose Morph worked.
I used the Script 1.02/2015 every time on Mac OS X.11.6.

Opening the script in R16 on a Mac OS X.10.5—just to check, same result.

In R17.032
Change of Python Version
The version of Python integrated in Cinema 4D moves from 2.6.4 to 2.7.9

Leo, please try this, as I guess I found the problem. Again, I’m not a coder (to find this took me a day, a coder might need five minutes for the same result) and the last word in this should have Andy of course, it is a great script!

FOR R16, if it doesn’t work:
If you go to line 53 and change the 16:20 to 1:5 then it should work. Test carefully and please report back, thank you. What it does is, that is like splicing a Tuple/List and gives (in this case) the ID for the morph parameter out. So instead from 16 to 20 we need in R16 (AFAIK) the 1 to 5 part.

>>>> index = str(index[1:5])

”>” = indent! four times space.

Compile after that.

A short one minute clip, R16:

Ha! You are a genius Dr. Sassi!
And a coder in my little world.
I would never have figured that out.
Thank you so much! :D

I’ll try it on a facial rig and report back.
