Hello everyone.

I’m not too new to Cinema 4D, but I’m knew enough to need a little guidance. I am interested in character animation and cloth simulation in particular. I see a lot of cloth sim tutorials but they seem to focus on draping table clothes, curtains or bedsheets. I am hoping to find something a bit more in depth when it comes to how to animate realistic clothing on a figure like dresses or a man in a business suit.

I’m hoping that someone can point me in the right direction when it comes to finding some good training in this area.

Hi will2power,

I was not certain where to place it, Tutorial Suggestion or Q&A forum.

Character animation is certainly discussed here, from several instructors, and I would think, that is already a good base. Of course to replicate a complete character can be a very long and versatile effort, and I’m sure no one has covered everything, hence the Tutorial Request Option.

Cloth, that is rather a weak spot here when it comes to specific cloth, as in a “business suit”, but a dress was covered in the Flabio/Flabiana series:

The table cloth content is normally seen as simple introduction, but yes, those misses the specifics for your needs.

All the best
