Hi, probably an easy solution for my issue but I cannot get it to work. See file attached.
I have a robot with IK but if I move (rotate) the base, the ARM3.Goal is targeted. Seems logical but if I put ARM3.Goal as a child of ARM3 the robot turn if I rotate the base but if I move the goal the robot freaks out. How can I stop this?
Thanks

Marcel

Hi MarcelCloo,

Place the Arm3.Goal under the base as a child. Now it moves with the rotation R.H of the Base. You were in World Coord. System Mode that will not work well for the Goal. The IK should be only moved in two axes only. Make sure they line up while you drag the Goal under the base. (Line up means that two axes always create a plane, and that plane needs to match the other.

There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers wink

MarcelCloo, if you ask, you try to solve something, and with the answer, you can hopefully move on. Not asking and being arrogant (know it all) would be the opposite and does not solve anything.

So, I hope you feel that you have gained something and have your focus, not on the past.

Thanks for your feedback. See you hopefully in the new forum! (This has already closed; I do the ghost- shift here

ENJOY.
