Hello Dr. Sass

Is there anyway to stop the sound/music on the scene at C4d.
I know there is a start time where we select a key to start it.

But we want to stop these things at some point.

Best Regards

Hi Yolanda GuerreroRebollo,

The sound options in Cinema 4D have been reduced in the past years, with no Loudspeaker/Microphone options anymore, for example.

The sound file you like to use needs to be edited to the length required for the project in an external audio editor, such as Aftereffects.

(There is a Sound Node in XPresso, but that is not useable from my point of view, as it keeps continuously playing, for example, while the time loops.)

If you have zero options and just one file, I can certainly help. Just let me know.

All the best

Dr. Sassi:

Please, I do need to know this weekend how I can save a C4d animation project that includes sounds and music.
When I do drag the files to Davinci Resolve; the files come without audio.

Best Regards,

Off-topic

Hi yguerrero2010,

I have very little to work with you here. Besides, that would be a question for the Q&A forum.

Here is a screen capture from a Cinema 4D project with a sound file to all working spaces in DaVinci 17.
Attached are the files I have used, including a sound file of mine, which is shared here to test this case. It is not for any other purposes, thanks!)

Documentation:

Even the workflow can be established; I would try to find the sound clip in DaVinci’s Edit (timeline) and replace it with the original to keep the quality as high as possible.

My best wishes for your project.

Good night!

I downloaded After Effects, I do not find the class that shows how to import to Cinema 4d, cutted or trimmed AUDIO layers.

We need to cut a long file; to add into different scenes.

Our objective is to be able to match character animation movements with audio at Cinema 4d; so voice and character movement shows nicely at the Scenes.

Best Regards

Hi yguerrero2010,

AfterEffects is a stand-alone application. It can’t be integrated into Cinema 4D.
Think of it as Photoshop with a timeline, while all effects are timeline-dependent.

When you load an Audio File into AfterEffects, you can drag a sound file into it. Then place it in the timeline, change the length, and then the compositing length. Then render it out. Since that is maybe something cryptic for you now, I have recorded a little clip illustrating the steps needed.

Good night to you as well, and if you have a question, I’ll be back tomorrow.

My best wishes.
