hello can you help me please

I swore that I used to be able to edit the motion path of an animated object directly in the 3D view but for the life of me I can’t get that to work.  I’ve turned off “auto tangents” for the keyframes in question, selected the keyframes in the timeline, and see the path in the 3D view - but can’t find the bezier handles for the path itself…  What am I missing?
note : i m using cinema 4d r25
thanks

Hi adnane.zaouadi,

Yes, I can confirm this. I have written a report, and I hope it is soon available again. It is available in older versions, and there is no replacement in any new feature for this. This is a vital function.

You might check with the support, just in case I missed something, but I have invested an hour and can’t make it work, even importing older files that show it will not do so in R25.

Sorry about that.

All the best

Thank you for expressing your patience with this, very much appreciated, adnane.zaouadi!

It sounds like (I assume!) that you have no problems working in this case with the F-Curve editor. Great, I hope your project will be a success!

Cheers

Hello,

I’m using R25 and wondering how to get my Animation Path handles? I have the Interpolation of the keys as ‘Spline’ and ‘Auto Tangents’ is disabled. In the past, disabling ‘Auto Tangents’ showed the handles. Am I missing something?

Hi Devoted,

I’m running as well R25.015, and the animation path is showing up. I tested even a newer M1 iMac. I have zero access to anything Windows if that is the case.

Please get in touch with the support.

This needs to work for you.

Sorry for the trouble!

Cheers

Hi danaalsharief,

A few minutes ago, I installed a fresh new download of R25.117 to see the defaults as they were when I installed it first.

The Editor View> Filter> Animation Path is active by default. Please check if that is the case on your side.

If not, please check with the support.
