Combining points

Greetings Sassi - a pleasure seeing you on some recent Maxon training webinars recently smile

In the scene below I have an octahedron made editable. I also created a single point which I centered in the world axis and thus is located in the center of the octahedron.

Now I want to combine the single point with the octahedron to create a single object which will have 7 points (with one floating in the center).

I tried Connect Objects & Delete and also used the Connect Object but cannot get this to work.

PS - the reason for this setup is I have a tool that connects all points to all points hence the need for a center point to take part in the calculation.

Thanks for any guidance, David

Thank you so much, David, very nice feedback.

Thanks a lot as well as for using Dropbox, and the file, of course.

Select your object, then go to the Structure Manager.
Structure Manager> Mode> Points.
Then, to:
Structure Manager> File> New Line.
(That’s it.)

The new point should appear in the list.
At the Axis Position, means 0; 0 ;0
You can change that like you would do in an Excel sheet.

BTW, the new line will be inserted below the selected line, in case you like to have specific point ID.

Enjoy your explorations.

Cheers and enjoy your weekend
