Hello,

It might not be possible, but in the simple example of a square plane with proper uvs, can i convert a vertex map (generated by fields eg. a freeze grow with noise as subfield)to an animated texture? Either procedural or image sequence would do same.

The purpose for this specific requirement: I got hairs that I wanna grow based on fields and vertex maps, but hair length attribute, works only with textures.

Many thanks!

Hi thanulee,

Is that working for you?

Render it from frame zero.

Let me know if not, and perhaps share a scene file.

All the best

Hi thanulee,

I understand; sadly, I do not have a license of Octane running here.

Perhaps someone in the Octane forum has an idea.

All the best
