I have a scene here

It is a very simple setup, a spline being distorted by a random effector.  When I extrude the spline, I notice that the extrusion seems to pop on and off, but I have no movement in Y direction…
Is that an issue with the fact that I am using a random effector?

Hi Alex,

Here is your file back.

I would suggest the following things:

• Extrude> Attribute Manager> Object> Direction> Y (not Auto)

• Extrude> Attribute Manager> Caps> Size> 0.01 (Segments 1)

• Phong Tag> Attribute Manager> Phong Angle> 22º and Use Edge Breaks: Off

I checked it a few times; I hope I do not have missed a frame.
