Voronoi displaced edges selection

Hello

I’m having a problem with an edge selection issue.
I have a disc that I apply a Voronoi Fracture to.  I’m distorting the inner edges a bit, because I need to be able to select them later.
Once I convert my Voronoi generator to polygons, I get a bunch of polys and a displace deformer.  However the edges are undeformed, and if I try to select them, I only get straight edges.  I would like to be able to select the displaced edges…I feel like I’m missing something very simple…
Here is a file

Thanks for any suggestions!

Hi Alex,

Thanks a lot for the file, and for using Dropbox.

Two options:

If you use the C key (make editable), you get the Deformer. While the object is selected, things are not deformed.
Go to Attribute Manager> Mode> View Settings> Deformed Editing: on.

The other option is to avoid the Deformer, and while the Voronoi Fracture is active, use the Object Manager> Object> Current State To Object mode.
The result will not rely on a Deformer.

All the best

Ah perfect!  Thanks Sassi
I didn’t know about the first option, super handy!  However when I select the edge and convert to spline, the new spline is not deformed.
The second approach does work perfectly!

Thanks again!

Thanks for the feedback, Alex!

Great that you can create what you need.

Enjoy
