Texturing an object with a photo but can’t see the photo in the UV editor

I’m trying to texture parts of an object with a photograph but can’t see where the UVs are in relation to the photo.

For instance, in Blender, you actually SEE the picture that’s on the object, and where the UVs are in relation to it. Like in this video by Ian Hubert:

Is there a way to do this in C4D? It’s VERY frustrating not being able to see where I am on the photo when I’m sliding the texture around on the model.

Please help!

Hi George,

To save memory, the images are not loaded all the time. (A thing from the past perhaps, but in large scene useful…)

Please have a look at the image below. Do you have that red X as well? Click on it, and the texture will load.

Since you indicate that you come from a different application: Typically, you can right-mouse-click in the interface and select “Show Help”.
I dod this in the UV editor, and this site came up; of course
