in a different tutorial, the eye controllers are snapped to a vertex or edge center, and then moved inward, ‘into the tissue’ a bit. Here it’s not that specific, should they be on the surface, or doesn’t it matter? thanks

Hi schnoidl,

I understand you are looking for “this is how it is done”. I fear that the models and procedure do not always agree with each other, and then best practice hits the adjustment phase.

With eyes, especially in the toon world, things have to be “faked” occasionally with super big eyes. What counts is what expresses the character best, not what would make an excellent geometrical setup—my two cents.
