Hi julopez,

There is a Flip Button in the Symmetry Object. Use this one.

The “next” shortest Way would be the
Main Menu> Mesh> Clone> Mirror
Tool. Since I notice that some people don’t really like it, as it doesn’t work for object groups, here is an alternative.

Another way would be to make a copy of the object-group you have and place it on one side of the world axis system. In other words, not in the middle or too close to it.

Place the copy of that group under a
Main Menu> Create> Generator> Symmetry Object. (… adjust ehe Mirror Plane if needed)

When both shoes are clearly not overlapping, select the Symmetry Object and press the c key.
Now select all elements that are not the wanted parts, i.e., the one at the position where the copy was, in Point of Polygon mode, and delete this part.

Another option
Some might suggest to create a copy and set the scale to negative X (or y; z). I would not suggest this for various reasons, but also here the problems can be healed. I predict (missing any scene file…) that the Symmetry option might be faster, given a clean model is the key here.

In any case:
Check textures that have recognize-able mirror effects (mostly text or logo based) in it and adjust those.

If you have problems, I can send you an upload link and explore it for you. I assume these models have to stay private.

All the best

Here is the most simple way:

Let me know if there is a question.

Hi julopez,

Here is a short little run-down of the process. Model: Pavel Zoch © (Content Browser, simplified)

Note that I am in POINT MODE when I delete the copy. This option allows for a more detailed selection, but is more complex.

I hope that helps since you had problems using the upload link I had sent to you.

Hi julopez, (capital or small j?)

You can download the clip and move as slow as possible through it. Typically the arrow keys should work to go step by step.

This following is, of course, only needed if you want to move each object independently.

In steps:

I move the object away from the X, Y, Z, CenterPoint (world origin, 0, 0,  0 coordinates).
Dependent on that movement, the Symmetry object will need to be set up: Mirror Plane. Simplified, if you move it along the X-axis, then it is Z and Y.  if it y, then X and Z, or if it is Y, then Z and X.

Then I made a copy of it, switched the original group off.*

Made the Symmetry Object editable with the key-stroke c.

What we want here is the show that was produced newly with the Symmetry tool. So we need to select the shoe that was there before the Symmetry was created. In point mode, we select and delete.

If that worked well, the initial Symmetry is not needed and can be switched off.
Now you have two models, a left and a right shoe.

*As a side note, starting out with the Symmetry and copy that has one advantage, you can just copy the original group if things don’t work.
If you copy the model first and then use the Symmetry, you need to set up a new Symmetry+Object if you are not happy with the result. Either way is fine.

Start with a simple model first.

Thank you so much Dr.Sassi it worked perfectly , my problem was that i was not selecting the shoe , thank you so much. To connect the shoe to the toe , would be just to click the shoe and the to and bind them right ?,

That would be a question for a new thread, julopez; otherwise, things become quite unusable for anyone searching the forum.

However, the short answer is, it needs to be seen as the foot itself, in terms of binding. Just toe joints will not really work, generally speaking.

I have not seen your shoe, nor anything else, so any general question will only be a pointer. (If you have a follow-up question to this, please open a new thread, and provide a project file; please not just an image only)

My best wishes for your project.
