Is CV-Layer Comps one of the plugins that’s going to be updated for R23?
I don’t see it as available or installed in CV-Toolbox under R23.

Please do update the CV Layer Comps scripts for R23.

I use they daily and saves a tone of time.

Thanks

Yes please! I just found out about CV-Layer Comps and I would really appreciate if it would be ported.
The integrated layer functionality needs far too many clicks, CV-Layer Comps solves that elegantly…
Thanks for looking into it!

It’s in the works. We’ve been sorting out a number of outstanding bugs at the same time as we fix compatibility, so a few of these are taking a bit longer than we hoped. But in the end you’ll have better, more stable plugins for 23 and many releases that follow.

As much as we hate the delays ourselves, it’s great to hear the CV plugins are essential to your workflow, so thanks for all the encouragement!

Good to hear, Rick! Thanks for the outlook. Indeed, a lot of the CV-Plugins are so useful
that I keep wondering why the functionality is not baked into C4Ds core functionality!
It’s so good these plugins exist, but they are a little obscure to find…

Thanks a lot!

Yes, CV plugins are absolutely essential to my workflow. I cant design logos without using CV splines.

Hi Rick! Do you have an estimate, when CV-Layer Comps is ready for R23?

I have to work with a set of really heavy scenes, and the Layer Comps are really
my only option to have some kind of fluid workflow. On the other side, I would benefit
greatly from R23’s new animation improvements, so I’m sitting in an uncomfortable in-between versions.

I’d even prefer a buggy version released sooner than a better version later…
Or, well, preferably both :D

Thanks in advance!

Hi mr. Rick!

I completely agree with Pablo. Layer Comps are significant help with using layers especially mute option. In large scenes it improoves workflow significantly. To that point that I havent done switch from 21 only because of that. Although animation improvements in R23 (copying easing) is something I would really like to be able to use. Appreciate the effort on updating it, but is there any turntable on when it might land?

Thank you for your efforts!

Hi Rick! Can you share any news on progress? As much as I welcome progress to plugin groundwork, I think Maxon should set a good example by being the first to update all plugins to the newest specs… and it’s been 4 months now :\

Bumping up this thread as CV layers comps is one of the most useful utility plugins out there smile
Any estimate?

Thanks

Another bump ... couldn’t you please recompile the old ‘buggy’ version for R23?
It’s such a roadblock that prevents me from migrating fully to R23.

Over at the C4DCafé, the generous user Cairyn shared two nice scripts, that replicate a “full layer mute/unmute”.
https://www.c4dcafe.com/ipb/forums/topic/113722-cv-layers-comp-missing-from-r23/?tab=comments#comment-729078

So my most-used feature has been rebuild by a user, but the full CV-Layer-Comps would still be a godsend.
Please share at least an estimate or something we can look forward to…

Re bumping the thread smile Can we have an ETA before looking for external plugin solutions for this function?
Cant live without it especially in big scenes.

Cheers
