I have tried multiple times to drag the Low res Coral that was made editable into the timeline to bake the object. When I try to drag it into a blank Timeline (Dope Sheet) nothing shows up. It will only allow for me to have it visible if there is a keyframe on it. Otherwise it will not allow for it to be dropped into the timeline. Why is this happening? I have gone step by step with the video yet every time this is the same result. No matter what the video shows.

Please help with this issue

Hi gabebroida,

Please let me know what you find in the
Timeline Menu> View> Show> Show Animated
Is Show Animated active or off?

If nothing helps, just set a single keyframe in the
Attribute Manager> Basic> Visibility Editor
This will not harm anything but gets you working for now.

For now means, if it wasn’t the Show Animated, I would like to explore the scene file to give you a definitive answer.
(I can send an upload link, of course.)

Cheers

Everything in the Timeline was active, I decided to add a keyframe for the visibility in Editor and it allowed me to continue forward with baking the animation to all frames. Thank you very much for your help! Very much apppreciated!

Cheers!

Thanks for the feedback, gabebroida, very much appreciated.

The visibility key should be just a workaround. If this problem persists, we should exchange some files down the road. I would like it to work for you.

Enjoy your Sunday
