Everything fine so far, great Tutorial.

Now what I’m trying to do is to set up the Material for the Redshift Renderer.
I can find a c4d vertex map under the utilities, but I have no clue in what way to adjust it, so it works accordingly.
Is there another way?

Ok, so I figured out a little work around, however it’s still not quite satisfying as it is still different than the texture in the turorial.
Here is what I tried was to set up a translucent material with a couple of ramps (from bright orange to dark orange) and adding an Incandescent to the color layer as layer one. As a mask of it I added the same ramp which I used for the base color of the Transl. Color.
I hope that made sense, the upload is in crappy quality due to pixel size restrictions here.

So what I ended up with looks ok, but still doesn’t give me the actual look as in the tutorial.

Any hints?

Thanks in advance!

Hi matthias.mang,

We had a similar discussion a while ago here:
https://www.cineversity.com/forums/viewthread/4023/#15992

To my understanding, the RS Ramp is similar to the Colorizer.
https://docs.redshift3d.com/display/RSDOCS/Ramp

This needs the information from the RS Vertex (the C4D Vertex is similar).
https://docs.redshift3d.com/display/RSDOCS/Vertex+Attribute
The Vertex information is converted into B&W (Gray) values, and then “translated” by the Ramp.

Redshift questions are best placed in the Redshift Forum directly.

All the best
