It appears that at least one needs to be updated, Getting Started: Part 4. the section about filletting caps on an extrude object is not the same in the current release as it is in the video, frustrating to try and work it out for those of us who are new to this!
Other than that the videos are great but I feel like that should be updated as soon it changes in more recent releases

Hi oligees,

I certainly understand your frustration.

This question has been moved to Cineversity Site Issues, as I do not found any other forum where it should be. Note, the Tutorial-Question should only be used with the Help link below the tutorial. Anything else will not stay organized.

Yes, the Caps were updated a half year ago, in R21.

Your question: “How old are the tutorial videos?”

It is easily answered by the release number it was made with or by the copyright entry at the start.
If the question was about this one here:
https://www.cineversity.com/vidplaytut/getting_started_with_cinema_4d_part_04_introduction_to_generator_object_01
( …there are more Getting Started series available.)

Answer: It was done roughly 1.5 years ago.

If you have any question, or the tutorial leaves you not satisfied, please ask in the Q&A, I will do my best to fill in what is needed.

All the best, stay safe, stay healthy.

Hello,

Thank-you for the reply, I have managed to work it out, the fillet section in Extruded Objects has been changed to Bevel, slightly different but similar result.

Best,

Oliver

You’re very welcome, Oliver, thanks a lot for the reply.

I appreciate your willingness to explore and get things done anyway. Again, if there is anything I can do or if there is a question: I’m happy to look into it.

Enjoy!
