After importing the plug-in, I am able to merge the camera rig but the “create render setting” just does not work.

CV-VRCam isn’t compatible with R20 and greater. There’s a much better solution built-in to Cinema 4D since R19 - just enable it via the Spherical tab on the Camera object.
