Managing Cameras in the Stage Object

Hi,

Rather than rendering individual cameras, I render only one camera with different cuts with stage object.

The problem is it’s hard to manage because I don’t see the camera names of the keys. I can but I have to click every keyframe, which defeats the purpose of using the timeline

Is there a better way of doing this?

Hi Ben,

The easiest way is to have the Attribute Manager open while the Stage object is selected. (use the + icon on the Attribute Manager to get an extra AM, lock it)

With a few clicks, you can connect the Object output of the Stage Object with the Name input of the Stage Object. In the way, the Stage object is always named after the current Camera.
The closest left-sided key to the time slider will be the one that is named. This will change the name in the timeline list (on the left). Since I assume that changes in animation are mostly done while the time slider is in the close vicinity, this should help.
