Hi Xpresso Masters,

I’ve been trying to find a solution to fill in the Link List node dynamically. The idea would be through the User Data > Link field where I would just link the parent of the objects and this would place all the children objects into the Link List node.
Currently in my case I would have to drag thousands of objects into the link list node which quite frankly not so user friendly for a broader use for others in the office who doesn’t know xpresso.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Hi Mishi,

Sorry, not to my knowledge, and I assume that you have explored the “Object List” node for your needs already. Since it has fewer options than the Link List and Iteration combination, I will not suggest it here.

I guess what you want is more a Python functionality. For that, Maxon provides a specific forum, but I fear that it is even farther away from being simple.

thank you for the suggestions.
Indeed, I dug into the python xpresso node, and I’m trying to work my issue around, with a little bit more success (different approach for the small function I’m developing) but more or less it seems like I need to do this with a little bit more serious python scripting - not even witinh python xpresso node.
