Hi,

Is there a way to force cloner to use the layer color as the display color?
Currently, it only follows the Color under the Transform Tab.
You can see an illustration of the problem here:

Regards,
Ben

Hi Ben,

I understand that this question is a follow up on this question:
https://www.cineversity.com/forums/viewthread/3654/

The color is, like PSR of an object, part of the internal information flow. in MoGraph. Since the Cloner generates all children newly as clones, this information is used.

But, I have not found a way to do so.

Cheers.

Hi Dr. Sassi,

Thanks for the response. No not necessarily a follow up. I don’t want to render the color. I just want it in the viewport for proper organizational hierarchy.

Anyhow. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply, Ben, and sorry that there is no default way to do so.

Perhaps a workaround:

Any material applied will work.

Cheers

Thanks for the response and file.
I guess I’ll just write a script of it in the future.

Thanks again.

You’re very welcome, Ben!

Yes, or create a suggestion to Maxon.

My best wishes for the Script project.
