Oh brilliant! The last version served me very well so thanks for that! Will I be able to use my old project with this?

Ed, I will leave that to the developer to answer, as they get any cases as a report. I do not have that data.
Sorry about this.

What I can do, if you have a small “your-file.zip” of it, I can test it for you.
Check your “Cineversity Private Message” [Top middle of this interface]

Cheers

Starting September 3rd 2019, CV-Toolbox no longer works with R20 or lower due to the new My Maxon login system.
Moving forward, CV-Toolbox will be compatible with R21 and higher.

If you still need plugins for older versions, you can download them individually.

Greetings Russs,

No, there is no version of CV-AR or Moves by Maxon version available for Android.

ah ok thank you! I love this technology but I dont want to buy a new really expensive phone to use it. Its the depth sensor it requires right? Are there plans for a video only version?

Hi,

I have installed Moves by Maxon in r21. It all works well, and I created the robot face from the tutorial with no problem. But the original example shown has the head bobbing around like the capture, and I don’t see how to create that movement. Otherwise, I’m left with a static head which defeats the purpose of a realistic head talking. Can you tell me what I need to do, or point me to a tutorial?

Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve,

I assume you have worked with this tutorial:
https://www.cineversity.com/vidplaylist/cv-ar/cv-ar_setup_capture_import_and_rig_an_animji-style_facial_performance

Since I have no idea what you have done so far, could you confirm that the

Moves By Maxon> Attribute Manager> Face Capture> Object: Offset /Rotation is checked on.

I have just checked this with R21 and an iPad pro, and it works fine here.

I will have a look into your file if you use the upload link that I have sent you.

I assume it will be then in the morning (23:40 here)

Cheers

Yes, that’s the tutorial. I do have those items checked and the original capture has the head changing position and rotation. But I don’t see how to apply it to the robot head. I had hoped there would be a head null that I could make parent of the robot head so it would have the same movement, but I don’t see one.

Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve,

I hope this little screen capture helps.
https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/share/OVYWBGVckZi3lndDbarwsqPzWK8w8xGIhy623lMcsyF

Let me know if that solves it for you. Since I don’t know your set up…

All the best

First of all, I didn’t know there was an Amazon Drive, or I’d completely forgotten, and I’m a darn Prime member.

I am totally blown away by how fast you figured out my issue and threw that together. I had seen the Extra Data and Matrices and really hoped that wasn’t what I needed since I had no idea what to do with it, but it was very easy after you demo’d it and my robot guy is now moving around perfectly. This whole tutorial sequence has been my intro to Xpresso, and I’m starting to appreciate it’s usefulness already.

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it, that was really awesome of you to take the time and help me!

Cheers, Steve

You’re very welcome, Steve, thanks for the kind feedback.

I’m glad it works for you!

Whenever you have a question about Xpresso, please ask in the Q&A forum, I’m happy to look into it.

Keep in mind that your Xpresso knowledge will grow, and what seems perhaps a little bit cryptic right now, will be something normal in no time.
As a side effect, many things you will learn with Xpresso will deepen your understanding of Cinema 4D.

When it came out, I started just playing, failing, exploring further. Today I would miss a lot if that wouldn’t be available anymore.

So, enjoy the exploration.

My best wishes.
