View Joint Chain
A Joint Chain is a hierarchy of joints connected by bones. Typically, a joint chain is used to animate flexible bodies, or portions of bodies, such as limbs. Joint chains are applied to an object mesh via skinning, and the bones connecting the joints are used to deform the object mesh. Joint chains can be directly animated, though they are more modified by the addition of tags that offer higher level animation control, such as inverse kinematics (IK).
