Voronoi Fracture Reference: Slicing and Dicing Objects
Defining your fragment shapes using a Voronoi Graph, isn’t always straightforward. In some cases, a varied degree of experimentation is required. In this video, I will show you various ways you can achieve interesting fragment shapes, like straight Slices, radial slices and cubic fragments.
In the process of Fracturing our geometry, the Voronoi Fracture Object, creates some new polygons, edges and points. Although this is a procedural operation, we have the ability to expose these selections and use them as we wish, without making our fractures editable.
Let’s take a look at how we can do this, and then I’ll give you a couple of ideas on how to use them as well.
