In this video, we're going to start by creating our logo script by utilizing the spline tools that are inside of Cinema 4D Lite. So the first thing we actually need to do is open Cinema 4D Lite. And the way you open C4D Lite is by jumping into After Effects. And under the file, new menu, we're going to go and choose Maxon Cinema 4D file. And what this is going to do is it's going to prompt you to save this file somewhere. And I'm just going to name it "untitled" for now. And what that's going to do is launch Cinema 4D Lite. And we can start having some fun in 3D. So right by default, we are in our perspective view. And one thing I really want to drive home is three important keys that are going to be very useful when navigating in 3D space in Cinema 4D. And that is the one, two and three keys. If I hold the one key down and click and drag in my viewport, I'm going to pan in my scene. If I hold the two key down and click and drag, I'm going to zoom. And then if I hold the three key down and click and drag, I am going to orbit. So this is very similar to your camera move tools in, say, After Effects. So what I'm going to do is, first, create a freehand spline. And in my spline menu here, we also have the bezier. We have bspline. We have all these other splines we'll use. But right now, I'm just going to use the freehand tool. And what I'm going to do is just click and drag. You're going to see this is going to act very similarly to, say, your pencil tool inside of After Effects where you can just freehand draw a spline. And a spline, again, is just Cinema 4D's version of a path. So what I can do now is I'm in my perspective view. I want to bring up my 4UP camera view, just like our 4UP camera view that we have in After Effects. To bring that up, all I have to do is go and click this little viewport icon on the top right. And that's going to bring up my top, my right and my front view. And you can see that working in this 4UP view in 3D is very important because you have a full handle on what's going on in your 3D scene. So the first thing you're going to notice is if I hold the three key down and orbit in my perspective view, my spline is not completely flat. You can really tell this in my top view and my right view. So this is something that we're going to need to actually change how we're working here because what I want to do is create a flat spline. So what I'm going to do is delete that spline. And I'm going to go to my bezier spline tool. And this is going to act similarly to the Adobe Pen tool. And if I click and drag, you can see I'm bringing out my little bezier handles. And I'll click and drag again. I'll just start creating my play logo. And you can see in my alternate views here that I'm drawing a completely flat spline. So this is very important to work in my front view and draw my spline in my front view. So now that I am done drawing my first two letters, I can go to my move tool here and then start selecting individual points. Let me just bring up my front view full screen by going to the top right viewport icon and just maximize the front view. Now I can kind of fine tune this spline. So you can see that this is going to be very similar to manipulating paths inside of Illustrator or After Effects. And I can then double-click that spline to rename it and just rename this "PL." So now I'm going to go over a few other handy tools to be able to adjust your splines in Cinema 4D Lite and that is how to add and delete spline points. So to delete a spline point, it's as easy as selecting a point and deleting it. So that's very simple. I'm going to undo that, Cmd+Z. So to add a spline point, it's actually very easy. The only thing you have to do is hold down the Cmd key. And you can see a little plus symbol popped up next to my cursor. But if I then move my cursor and hover over my spline, you can see that that plus turns to an icon with six points. When you see that, that means you can actually click on your spline. And that's going to create a bezier point. And I can go and hover over my spline over here, create another point, hover over here, click, and create another point. So by holding Cmd or Ctrl on PC and hover over your spline and click, we can create points. And I created way too many, so I can go in here and just delete those. Again, go to my move tool, select my points and just adjust these new points that I have here or just delete them altogether. We'll add one right here. You can see it's very, very easy to add or delete points. And one more important thing you need to know is how to break bezier handles. And you can break bezier handles by clicking on a point, holding the shift key down and just grabbing one of the bezier handles. And you can see that you can break that bezier tangent and just basically manipulate each handle separately. Now if you want to join them again to smooth them out because right now it's kind of very sharp, I can just click on that spline point again. I can just right click, go to soft interpolation and you can see that that joins our bezier handles again. And we can now smooth out that point. So a few useful shortcut keys for quick point selection or manipulation, we're going to use the zero key to get into our rectangle selection tool, so we can click and drag and select all the points we want in our rectangle selection. We can use the nine key and select individual points or we can click and drag and select multiple points. And then use the E key to go into our move tool and move those points around. So by using the zero for rectangle selection, nine for live selection and then E for the move tool, you can then freely manipulate your spline without having to go and click into any of these menus up here. You can just work in your viewport and be really efficient. So the one last thing I want to show is how you can actually import paths from Illustrator and bring them into Cinema 4D as splines. So it's going to be very easy. What we're going to do is jump into Illustrator. And you can see that I have my P-L-A-Y with my little underline as three separate layers here. And I'll just select them all and so you can see the paths right here. Now what I'm going to do is save this out. I'm going to do is save as and just save over my existing file. And the very important thing in this Illustrator options menu that you need to keep in mind is when you save out your Illustrator file, you need to make sure that you save it as Illustrator 8. Illustrator 8 is the file version that is compatible with Cinema 4D. So if you save it out as Illustrator 8, you can then bring in that path data and Cinema 4D will recognize it. If it's any other format or any other version, Cinema 4D is not going to recognize it. So Illustrator 8 very important, hit OK. Now we can hop back in Cinema 4D Lite. Let's just make a new scene. I'm going to go to file, open and select our Illustrator 8 version file that we just saved out. And I'm going to say connect splines. That's what we want. And I'll just hit OK. And if I twirl down my little null object here, you can see I have those three paths that were from Illustrator and they are now Cinema 4D splines. So what I'm going to do is click on my null and just zero out the X and Y coordinates. And then use my one key to pan and three key to orbit and two key to zoom. And just we can see that we have our flat spline in here. We can then go into our front view. Let's just zoom out and frame this up. And you can see that if I go into my point mode and select one of my paths, I can then freely manipulate this spline inside of Cinema 4D. You can see how intuitive and easy it is to create and manipulate splines inside of Cinema 4D Lite. As an Adobe user, familiar with paths in other Adobe apps like Illustrator and After Effects, you're going to feel very comfortable with the intuitive spline tools in Cinema 4D Lite.
Logo abaixo do menu File > New Menu, vamos escolher a opção Maxon Cinema 4D File. E assim vão aparecer as janelas Top (topo), Right (direita) e Front (frente). Vamos agora selecionar a ferramenta Spline Bezier. Agora eu posso refinar a minha Spline. Podemos agora visualizar a nossa Spline achatada.
