Create triangle strip sequence important, normal direction, quadrangle strip - normals depend on direction. Clockwise - pin goes up. Bridge tool mentioned briefly, then Maxon FAQ tip - helix, linear, none intermediate points, structure select all, copy points, object empty (no structure) stay in point mode, paste (now no need to cut splines etc) - all points in it, create polygon - quadrangle strip, shift click puts points away, CTRL new point created, no phong tag so add it via tags/snap to same level like previous point - is on magic plane which is 90 deg to camera view axis. Or if not checked, will go on work (construction) plane - can have multiple construction planes.
