Learn how to set up text and curves to get the best results with deformers.

This video shows how to add subdivisions to text and curves to get good deformation results. Using a MoText object, you’ll see how to change its Intermediate Points to Subdivided, then set the Angle and Maximum Length for better subdivisions. Then you’ll learn how use Create Single Object to join the text’s caps with its sides, use Quadrangles and Regular Grid to subdivide the caps, and make the grid’s Width match the Maximum Length so that the subdivisions all line up for smooth edges. Finally, we’ll cover how to deform each letter with Extrude generators and curves, and why the order of deformers is important in this case.
