This video introduces you to the video series, “A C4D Primer for Maya Artists”. Although designed to help Maya artists get up and running quickly in Cinema 4D (C4D), other 3D artists who are new to C4D will also find useful information here.

Hi there and welcome to Cinema 4D. I've been an Autodesk trainer and have just added Cinema 4D to my 3D tool set. So, come along with me as I help you connect the dots between Maya and C4D. Whether you're looking for a new solution or are just looking to add C4D to your toolkit so you can land that broadcast motion job, this tutorial series will give any Maya user a firm foundation in understanding how to get things done in Cinema 4D. If you're new to 3D, or you use another package, this series is still a great way to get a feel for the basics in C4D. We'll start our journey with a simple little character, and along the way, we'll explore C4D as we build his world. This includes everything from creating your first C4D project and getting a feel for working in the interface, to creating simple objects with primitive polygons, and creating 3D objects using splines and generators. When we finish creating our little character's world, we'll render it all out and complete the journey. Once you're comfortable with C4D, and it won't take long, we'll show you how to customize the C4D layout to make it whatever you want it to be. So, if you're ready to take that first step toward learning Cinema 4D, let's get started on our journey.
