Two Ways to Wrap or Align Text to a Spline in Cinema 4D
Learn how to wrap or align MoGraph MoText to a Spline or Path in Cinema 4D. Learn two different methods that can be used to wrap or align text to a spline path in Cinema 4D. To deform or curve the each letter face, use the Spline Wrap deformer in Keep Length mode and adjust the text for better deformation. To simply align text to a spline, use the Spline Effector in Relative mode. |

Use MoGraph Effectors to Control Cloner Blend Mode
MoGraph Effectors provide artistic control over clone blending Gain artistic control of the Cloner Blend mode using the Modify Clone parameter of C4D’s MoGraph Effector. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to set clones to the initial or final blend state, transition the blend using falloff, and create variation with the Random Effector. This tutorial builds upon our introduction to Cloner Blend mode. |

Use Cloner Blend Mode to Create Intermediate Clones Between Two Objects
Clones Blend mode smoothly interpolates clones between multiple objects in C4D’s MoGraph toolset With the Cloner Blend mode in C4D’s MoGraph tools, you can create multiple object copies that smoothly blend between multiple source objects. In this tutorial, you’ll see how Blend mode is used to create concentric rings with a consistent thickness, and also to create multiple snowflake variations using a snowflake created in MoSpline’s Turtle mode. |

Create a Snowflake in Cinema 4D using MoSpline Turtle Mode
Use L-System structures in Cinema 4D to create a branched snowflake MoSpline’s Turtle mode allows you to create splines based on L-System rules like you may have learned playing with Logo in school. Move the turtle forward, turn left or right, and utilize branching and recursion to create a holiday snowflake with almost infinite variation. The project file for this tutorial includes MoSpline objects to create both the Koch Snowflake and a traditional holiday snowflake. Complete documentation of C4D’s Turtle rules can be found in the Cinema 4D Online Help. |

Transform the First Letter of Every Word using Cinema 4D’s Formula Effector
Use Formula Effector to access MoText letters indexed by word or line. Cinema 4D’s MoText object includes an option to index the text based on each word or line, so you can easily control the first letter of each word using the Formula Effector. In this tutorial, you’ll take advantage of this powerful technique to create an animation representing the mnemonic for the notes of the Treble Clef - Every Good Boy Does Fine. |

Glank: Sound Effector in Practice: Series Introduction
This video introduces the series for Glank: Sound Effector in Practice. In this introductory video, we will screen the finished Glank Animation and state the goals of the series, namely how to use the sound effector, control it with Xpresso and set up the dynamics simulations. Music and found object instruments by Paul Rudolph. |

Glank: Sound Effector in Practice: The Big Bass Drum
In this video, we’ll see how the sound effector was used to animate the big bass drum. The sound effector was used to animate the rotation of the mallet which strikes the big bass drum. Since we don’t need a lot of clones, we’ll use the sound effector on a fracture object. We’ll also see how to set up rigid body dynamics on the drum and modify the follow position and follow rotation amounts so that the drum reacts to the pounding realistically. We’ll also demonstrate how to turn off the all frames option during playback to keep the animation in sync with the sound in the viewport. Finally, we’ll look at how to use Xpresso to illuminate the ring of yellow lights around the rim of the drum to the sound of the big bass drum. Music and found object instruments by Paul Rudolph. |

Glank: Sound Effector in Practice: The Ball Tapper
In this video, we’ll learn how to set up the sound effector and dynamics for the anti-gravity ball. In this case, a Mograph Cloner was used to create the ring of thin metal sticks that strike the metal ball. A Sound Effector was used to control the rotation of the sticks which cause the ball to be continuously pushed down with the help of rigid body dynamics. We’ll also see how to use a gravity object to compel the ball come back up. Music and found object instruments by Paul Rudolph. |

Glank: Sound Effector in Practice: Glank Letters: Part 01
In this video, we’ll use Xpresso and Thinking Particles to create the neon around the iron Glank 3D letters and the falling particles within them. For the iron Glank letters, an ambitious Xpresso setup was created to make the neon outline draw on to a bell-like sound in the music as well as to make particles rain down inside the letters with Thinking Particles. We’ll examine both of those setups and the logic that makes them work. Music and found object instruments by Paul Rudolph. |
