Hey Dr. Sassi,

Just wanted to let you know folks at our offices loved your 2nd presentation at Siggraph, and now we’re even more excited about your integration tutorials!

You’ve always been legendary when it comes to your helpfulness, but looks like you just super-sized it!

Folks like you give the C4D community a great name, and the work you’re doing makes us even happier with our C4D investment, and our membership here at Cineversity.

All the best,
Biagio

Hey Biagio,

That is more than welcome. I felt really bad after the show to fight during my presentation with a keyboard. (I had no idea that it wasn’t the Wacom driver or just a broken cable), someone had remapped the keyboard, stress makes stupid, I did not even thought about that)
So, to get your post here makes my day. Really! Thank you so much. Please tell the people in your office a big hello from me. I really love to give what ever someone needs to un-fold his/her creativity. I’m happy to support that.

It makes me happy to see the community growing, and the results that people share is sometimes just breathtaking.

The new series and the upcoming ones are based on a lot of learning on my side, and researching “like hell”. Funny enough, I learned from “Master Zap” a lot and he was in the audience yesterday. (Fxphd class)

Thanks again and have a great weekend (I’m in the middle of preparing a music video shot that I produce and film (RED Scarlet, woohoo)—all outside and F95º.

Take care

Sassi

We barely noticed the keyboard thing, so don’t worry about that!  The info was great, and inspired us all to keep improving out skills.  More importantly, I believe there is a growing community of people who want to use Cinema 4d for visual effects (so many wrongly say, “Cinema 4d is just for motion graphics”) and you are without a doubt championing the VFX abilities of the software.  Many thanks from all of us! And good luck with the music video shoot!

Best,
Biagio

BTW, the Camera-Calibrator works great, what I forgot yesterday was to set the Pin, and so the scene was screwed up. My fault, but I certainly was a little bit sidetracked. No excuse, but I thought I should post that, if one has the same problem with the demo version. It works. :o) ..and I love it.

Thanks again Biaggio,

VFX is certainly one of my favorite themes. I do not see a clear border to Motion Graphics, as the two fields certainly over laps, to correct these “so many people” :o). But yes it feels like sometimes that there is a fine line, like one would say Video is not Film. Since a while that is not really the truth anymore.

I collect DVDs and BluRays (because I like Film) but mainly to get the making of stuff as well. So I have a four digit number of movies already collected. Sometimes “you” get amazingly great stuff.

I certainly know that Josh will dig deeper into that area, and if enough people request tutorials about VFX, I’m happy to dive in.

What I forgot yesterday, with the Integration series, I start to deliver RED footage, HDR-X, so people who have otherwise no option to play with, can test this stuff (RED-CINE X is free and a great app as well.)

Today I got the newest book from Lee Lanier and I look forward to fill perhaps some gaps.

Have a great weekend

Sassi
