Hi,

Since one month I have premium membership but still I did not watch any full tutorial, I am facing these issues;

1) Most of time just circle rotates and nothing comes
2) Unknown error while loading video message comes
3) During tutorial after few minutes tutorial runs without sound.

I sent two times messages but still did not get any reply from support team. No idea where is the problem, anyone who can help me to solve this issues.

I am using Mac OS X 10.7.3, Safari & Firefox 11.0

TIA

Greets.

Our VOD host had a massive hardware failure on Friday, causing widespread issues on Cineversity. Are these issues still occurring?

Great thanks for reply, I am trying but still have some same issue…. during tutorial stop after some time and start from beginning.

1) Most of time just circle rotates and nothing comes
2) Unknown error while loading video message comes
3) During tutorial after few minutes tutorial runs without sound.
and today I noticed that I am banned in live chat.

Hope I will get feedback soon.

Regards.

What speed is your internet connection? Can you visit speedtest.net and report your download speed?

The video player always attempts to buffer 10 seconds of video. It won’t actually start playing until 10 seconds are buffered.

It sounds like what may be happening in your case is that the circle is continually rotating because it’s trying to fill the video buffer. Then it starts playing, but freezes after a bit because the buffer has run out and it has to refill.

One thing that would help is if you submit the error using the form when the error page does appear. This lets us know exactly which tutorials you’re experiencing the issue with and also gives us some debug info you don’t see.

I’m not sure why you’d be banned on the chat page - sometimes we close it between shows because it tends to be off-topic, but it’s not closed right now.

Hi Rick,

Thanks for reply.

I have fiber-optic cable connection of 16 MB and hope its fine to watch the tutorials.

Now there is no more Unknown error while loading video, may be it was the reason of hardware failure on Friday.

Since morning I was trying to watch “Modeling with Deformers & Effectors” but till evening only watched 31:00 min. During tutorial its stops and then circle begin rotating…. and so on… rotates, refresh page and again begin from start and again stops anywhere and stop again and circle rotates.

You can see these images… where it stops.

I know buffer need sometime to play video, not full day required to watch 59:00 min video.

We just (in the last minute) updated the video player component to a newer version. Could you try again to see if it’s improved?

I notice from your screenshots that it doesn’t appear as though the numeric time is incrementing - does it always stay on 00:00?

Could you also try a short video like http://www.cineversity.com/vidplaytut/cv-crosshair_overview and report the results?

Thanks

Hi,

Numeric time increases when plays…. and when stops it shows 00:00

I tried your link…. also stopped in between…. and in between…. video stopped but play bar moves but no sound, see video.

Wow - that’s strange. Thanks for the video. We’re going to do some more hunting around and see if we can figure out what’s happening here.

Just to clarify, did it play all the way through on the 11th try? or did you start it later? is it always dying at 30 seconds, or is it random?

OK - something else to try:
http://dev.cineversity.net/vidplaytut/installing_cinema_4d_r12_demo

This is on our dev site. When the video dies, click the “Get Status” link below the video. A javascript alert will pop up. Get us a screenshot of that.

A screenshot of the Browser error console would also help (in Safari, check “Show Develop Menu” in the Preferences-Advanced pane, then use the keyboard shortcut Command-Option-C)

Thanks for your help - hopefully we can track this down.

I closed the page and start again from your link… and tried again and again and saw full tutorial at 11th try.

Here is another but same…. stopped after 2:00 min and bar moves.

We’re investigating. I’ve got some support tickets in with some of our vendors and am waiting for response to see if they can shed some light on it.
