Hi,

I’m trying to follow this tutorial (https://vimeo.com/203284769) where it uses ray collision node to detect intersection.
The subject is around 24min. For your reference, see a snippet of what I am trying to achieve:

Unfortunately, despite following the set-up, my scene doesn’t work the same. Are there any changes to the recent version that affects the ray collision node?

Instead of the wheel following the form of the landscape, it follows only one particular point of the landscape.

Is there a way around this?

Reminds me of a tutorial that I made around 15 years ago. I mention it, as back in days CPU power was not as mighty as it is these days. The Test Only option on the Ray Collision Tag is by default set to on, and YES, it has bugged me a lot since, as it is so easy to leave it that way and wonder what happens. So, click on the Node, and in the Attribute Manager, switch the Test Only off.

As a side note, I would project a spline to the surface and let the wheel run along with it. With some other setup you can even have the Spline (Via MoSpline) determine the length and with it the rotation of the wheel.
Let me know if that is at all your target or if the tutorial is more to get some basics covered.
