Cinema 4D Team Render, Part 09: Troubleshooting Team Render Connections

Hello:

I’ve been using R19 for sometime. However, only recently have I finally taken the time to set up Team Render on some of my other machines.
Unfortunately, I’m encountering critical problems, which are preventing TR from working.

Quick facts:

All machines are Mac Pro’s (host nMP 6,1 and two clients cMP 5,1 models).
All machines are running identical OS 10.9.5
All machines are running the final, latest R19.068 (Build RB245443)
All machines are connected to each other with direct Ethernet
WiFi OFF
Firewalls OFF

In most cases, I can get some successful rendering on all three machines, however, without exception, by around 3/4 through, the two clients will stop contributing new frames, even though it appears that each are still rendering. Eventually, each will stop entirely, with “out-of-memory or unknown error” prompts in the consoles.

The projects I’m trying to render are SUPER basic:
Standard Render (although Physical has same problems)
NO plugins or effects
NO displacement, boolean, cache, etc
NO animated textures or Quicktimes
NO GI

More relevant info:

Those same scenes work 100% fine, when just rendered on the sole host machine (no TR).
Those same scenes work 100% fine with R17 TR.

So, it seems fairly certain that there is some kind of issue with R19 TR.

I’ve tried almost every possible setting, on and off, with the R19 TR client settings and host settings - to no avail. The issues persist.

Can you possibly help me with a better way to troubleshoot this issue?

Hi, and thanks.
I posted my question here, being that I’m paying for Cineversity. I don’t believe Maxon is willing to respond to my question, without my first also paying them, just for the help.

I just received the email from Maxon, with the link to the trouble ticket page, and I submitted all of the requisite information. So, we’ll see what they may suggest.
