Ambient Occlusion Shader in ProRender

Does the Ambient Occlusion Shader not work the same in ProRender (due to textures being baked)?

I was using the AO Shader to make some diffuse glowing panel lights with a hotter color temp in the middle. Is there another way to achieve this effect while still using ProRender (basically, a gradient based on interior edges)?

Hi JoeTV,

To have results from an Ambient Occlusion Shader in ProRender, you have bake the shader first, manually. Object Manager> Tags> Cinema4D Tags> Bake Texture. This needs of course a proper UV information, to avoid overlapping areas.
Limitations are mentioned here:

(Scroll down)

I have tried other options to get an result, but also Proxima doesn’t work here for example.

A little screen capture of the Baking process, just in case that is not known to everybody reading along.

Thanks for the reply, JoeTV, you’re very welcome.

This is an ongoing developing process, according to the manual. For now we have to take some limitations.
I hope your project doesn’t require too many extra steps based on this.
If there is any workaround that crosses my path, I will share it.

My best wishes for your project.
