Sharing Libraries and Plugins betwenn Releases (Mac)

Hello, I just installed R20 next to my R19 for which I installed a lot of Plugins and Libraries (e.g. GSG and pixellab). For the time being, I will be using both versions.

Would I have to duplicate all the data into the new C4D R20 preferences folder or could I use the parameter “g_prefspath” to point R20 to R19?
Or would this cause trouble with R20 and R19 each writing incompatible preferences over each other?

Hi Andreas,

I would install fresh for R20.

For example: C.O.F.F.E.E. based content will be not supported anymore in R20. This will cause a lot of plug ins to stop working. On the other hand, if you replace your plug ins with update, perhaps R19 might not have all the “connections” to make them work.
