Yes, certainly, if this would be a tutorial about the candy-scene, then the modeling part would be a crucial part of it. The target here was “New in R20” and I estimate a lot of people would have been upset watching a modeling tutorial first. Anyway, to give you some hinters, here is a file that I have created following the presentation. Just the main foreground candy.
The Sweep object has the rotation in it. Hence the stripes. (I followed on a different language version and perhaps some nodes are not in English, sorry about that, I tried to fix at least the Object Manager entries when I saw that I was in a different version.) Anyway, the modeling part was in question. So, yes, UVW mapping with no changes.
The Radom Effector supplies the clone color, which leads to two suggestions: first, make certain that eh Min/Max of the Random effector is not set to negative 100%, and secondly, that the Cloner>Transform>Color is black.
Additionally> I added the sticks to it.
