Sorry, you tutorial doesn’t work as you show it because you start within the middle of a scene. To show the node material only, it’s ok but to learn it by rebuild it, there is the basic setup of the scene missing.
So thanks for showing the node material .. but it would be more satisfying to succed the same result as the tutorial shown!
My material is the same as shown ... but my lollipops are not right. My stripes has wrong directions wink
As i look to you scene there is a “Lollipop Color Random” with a “Random Field” .. sadly not explained, but important i think. Also important i think which projektion is used (UVW-Mapping?).

Hi OliverG73,

Yes, certainly, if this would be a tutorial about the candy-scene, then the modeling part would be a crucial part of it. The target here was “New in R20” and I estimate a lot of people would have been upset watching a modeling tutorial first. Anyway, to give you some hinters, here is a file that I have created following the presentation. Just the main foreground candy.

The Sweep object has the rotation in it. Hence the stripes. (I followed on a different language version and perhaps some nodes are not in English, sorry about that, I tried to fix at least the Object Manager entries when I saw that I was in a different version.) Anyway, the modeling part was in question. So, yes, UVW mapping with no changes.

The Radom Effector supplies the clone color, which leads to two suggestions: first, make certain that eh Min/Max of the Random effector is not set to negative 100%, and secondly, that the Cloner>Transform>Color is black.

Additionally> I added the sticks to it.

Hello, im working with german release as well wink Also eher nachvollziehbar für mich wink

But in the case other want to read this ... i still keeping it in english wink

The rotation in the sweep ... i did not get this idea. So my stripes run along the helix and don’t rotate around.
But now also my learning scene works as yours!

THX a lot for this fast help! Very happy!

Kind regartds!

Hi OliverG73,

You’re very welcome.

Typically I’m 99.9% in the English version. But for a certain reason right now, I’m for a short period in the German version. It keeps me on my toes (not the reason, but I like to see it positively)

Herzlichst
