Team Render and Multiple Licenses: Best Setup?

We’re getting a new team member and therefore will be looking into another single-license of c4d. I don’t quite understand the licensing information on MAXON—

From what I understand, it would still be cost-effective to get two Single-License seats of C4D, not one multiple-license, since only two people need the software at a single time.

I currently have team render set up on two dedicated-render computers. If we purchase another license of C4D, do I have to install that new, seperate license on those slaves so that they can access team render as well, or can it use the same team render? (Even typing this out i’m getting confused.)

Basically: What’s a good option for licensing when you have two 3D animators wanting utilize team render?

Hi VeritasHealth,

From where I look at it, you understand this quite well, but I’m not in the sales department nor have any training to answer this question.

This is a question for a sales representative.

As far as I understand the multi license, you need to by three or more and the price is then per license. If an existent license can be converted if you get to three animators needs to be cleared with the people in charge.

Congratulations to have a new animator in your team!

Cheers
