I’m trying to animate the rotation of a tile shader, that I am applying as a gobo on a light.
I have a material with a Tile surface inside a Layer shader.  I apply the “transform” effect to the Tile shader.  However this effect can’t be animated, so I started looking for other solutions.
I foud the “Projector” shader, but I can’t seem to get it to do the same thing as the transform effect.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Hi Alex,

Would that work for your purposes?

I have just stripped you material down to the tile shader. No projector, no layer.

Have you tried to just rotate the light source, or is that not an option?

Let me know if that worked or if there is anything else. I’m happy to look into it.

Cheers

So simple!  Of course!
Thanks for reminding me of the basics Sassi, I guess my brain is always looking for an unnecessarily complex solution smile

Thanks!
