Hi,

I was getting this error earlier also but ignored and some how it was unwrapping. but now stuck….!!!

- I am unwrapping polygons for texture and getting some errors, I checked all the points and optimized…. but no luck this time. anyone help me to unwrap, I gave selection tage to unwrap.

- And one thing strange… then selecting polygons its orange, and means its outer side but some normal lines are inside… how…? when polygons are orange normal lines should be outer side.

Thanks.

Hi iacdxb,

I can only guess here, I can’t spot any flipped Normals, but a lot of N-Gon-Lines.
https://help.maxon.net/us/#DBASEDRAW-BASEDRAW_GROUP_FILTER

I removed the N-Gons, and all is fine. My suggestion would be to cut the objects in the middle, so some polygons are not too long, after removing the N-Gons.

The UV-Edit in the clip below is quick, and needs more love, but this is how I would unwrap/relax the UV mesh.

Let me know if there is any question left, I’m happy to look into it.

Cheers

Yes, iacdxb, those are there where no N-Gon is.

Looks weird, but it is easy to fix. After the N-Gons are removed, set the scale of the object to -1 for all three (S.X, S.Y and S.Z), use the short-cut U~R, then set the scale back to one. It should be fine now.

All the best
