Hi

I’m trying to animate a stylised compound eye using a cloner object and the shader effector to change the colour of the compound lenses.

When I move the eye target up or down the texture on the eyeball banks. Know it has something to do with global/local matrix but can’t work it out. Help please.

Turn coner on/off to see eye or textures (file attached)

Cheers
Chris

PS can’t upload zip file (176KB) of the c4d file

Thanks.

The issue was where I had put the up vector. Thanks as usual.

Nice that it works for you, thanks for the feedback, Chris.

All the best

Edit: This Monday morning I got your file. No luck attaching it, Mac nor Stuffit does the trick /edit

You mentioned MoGraph, so here is a MG Target-Effector solution.

Sometimes I would love to have an exhibition with all the work that was discussed here in the past twelve years grin
(12 years including Cineversity 1)

Again, very nice of you, Chris, thank you!

There’d be enough for many exhibitions…

It certainly would be a lot, Chris, and if everyone could stop by: what a meeting that would be!

ENJOY.
