Substance Engine in R19

Hi Doc.  I went looking for the Substance Engine in R19 today and couldn’t find it.  Do you know where it exists in R19, or did Maxon do away with it?  In R18, it was found under Pipeline>Substance Engine.

Thanks!

Mark

Hi Mark,

That’s the place, also in R19

It should be there, I tried to find an answer, but that problem hasn’t shown up in R19. I can’t re-produce this here either.

In your Maxon Folder, there is a “corelibs” folder, can you check anything with the name substance there? If there is something missing, we have the source of the problem perhaps.
What version you are on?

This is certainly a case for the support, but restart or even better, if you can update (if you are on a previous version of R19, eventually that might bring back what your need.

I’m already on the latest version (R19.024).  In the corelibs folder, I see only one file starting with substance (substance.dylib).  I’ll reach out to support right now.  Thanks!

Hi Mark,

I checked R19.024 came with that file and should work.

My best wishes with the support.

P.S.: just to make certain that it is not a menu problem:

Is there anything in this list for you? If so, does it allow you to load assets?

My best wishes

Good morning, Doc.  I solved the problem by resetting the C4D Layout/Workspace.  For some odd reason, the custom space I created did not have the Pipeline menu, even though I never eliminated that menu when creating the space.  Regardless, problem solved.  Thanks for your help!
