Hello,

I am currently putting together specs for a GPU render machine in tandem with a 3 to 4 gpu render server. I am looking for some help on rethinking what parts are going in these 2 machines.

Budget: $7000 total

Goal: Maximum performance for daily rendering, ready for full production work.

Type of work : X particles, dynamics simulations, long keyframes animations (300-2000 frames), Product renders, tech videos

I am trying to allow this build to be able to be expanded on in the future. I put together 2 builds linked below as a starting point. Im trying to minimize cost while not sacrificing performance. Looking for 2 machines that can get the job done quickly and efficiently.

Any feedback and alternative builds would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Farinabread,

As usual, I do not give any hard ware tips here, as I do not have tested nor have the knowledge about all things possible; Especially not based on third part products. Check their forum out this specific information, as in:
http://www.x-particles.com/forum/

But have a look here:
https://www.maxon.net/en-us/products/cinebench/

If you google Cinebench, you might find some collections of data, and perhaps that might help.

All the best and enjoy your new set up.
