Hi,

When sculpting with image planes is x-ray the best way to see through the sculpt?  Can I adjust the x-ray settings?

Thanks,

Ben

Hi Ben,

There is not any mentioning of any adjustment options in the manual.

I have attached a scene with a material and a HUD slider, perhaps use instead of a gradient a color instead. Anyway, the main idea is to quickly adjust to a certain degree the transparency. Which is of course dependent on the graphic card, if used with Editor View> Options> Transparency/OpenGL.

The Display tag doesn’t allow for much more options, perhaps wireframe, but well, that is perhaps too raw.

All the best

HI Ben,

thanks a lot, even it was just a tiny help, if at all.

To sculpting along images or drawings is certainly a work that should have all the support possible.

Would you mind to define your needs and ideas to MAXON, I guess an interface Feature that allows for an easy adjustment of the visibility (as in Editor View> Options> Default Light) as the interactive light adjustments, would be great.
I could see a XY field as helpful. Left to right mouse movement over it adjusts the transparency and up and down shows the object progressively with a checker-pattern (to see the topography in a better way).

You ideas might vary of course.

Thanks a lot.
