sketch and toon; can you occlude a thick outline by the geometry its applied to?

I’d like to create a thick outline around an object, like a highlighter pen, but I was wondering if its possible to draw it behind the geometry. here is an example of what I have so far:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/24304389/outline.jpg

as you can see, the outline overlaps the geometry, centered at the contour line.
I’d like to occlude it by geometry both for visual effect and so I can set the outlines to overshoot, covering some corners better without being visible on the geometry.

Any ideas welcome!

Hi NNenov,

Material> Attribute Manager> Render> Clip Render> Outside Geometry

Check the Parameter below this,  “Blend”, for your desired results.

Let me know if there is any other question or if you need a different way, I will look into this.

All the best

You’re welcome, NNenov.

In the moment you wrote, I added to the message above the hint to check the parameter “Blend” as well.

It has a lot of options, enjoy the exploration!

My best wishes.
