I often have a problem where I have tons of objects in the OM, and I want to bring one from the bottom of the list to the top…I haven’t found any automated way of doing that…Is there one?
Thanks!!

Hi Alex,

Moving objects in the object manager can cause a change in the priority. If an object is even used by Xpresso, one should know how it is referenced.

Anyway, I have no knowledge about a short cut for this, nor encourage its eventual use.

Large scenes life and die based on naming conventions. Secondly, the same is true for Layer Mangent.

With proper names, as in one or several prefix or suffix, the work with a second or even third (forth) object manager comes in handy.
If those search based options are used, a bookmark can be created. Also here, proper naming is key.

Having said all of that, there might be Phyton script, but be careful, close to deadlines, those helpers, like the group short cut, can dstroy a lot of work with a click.

All the best
