Hi Rick, Hi Donavan,

I know this is not a Suggestion-Forum, but since VR is more often than not one of the hottest themes these days, I thought to bring this request here.
In the “old” days, we produced an VR-Object movie with the QuickTime VR Studio. Well, that is a long time ago.

The request in this thread was about an HTML5/JavaScript embedded image sequence.

I found an script, I can also supply several camera animations to make that happen, but to wrap it all up in an 360ยบ object viewer, I miss the skills you both have.

Is this a Cineversity plug in worthy idea? It would be great to have that as an output option!

A nice example is here, which is a draggable PNG, based on the source text.

Thanks for your time

Hi Dr. Sassi,

Sorry for the slow reply, NAB and the Rewinds have taken us away from some of our development work. I think there might be some value in providing a 360 object viewer - but it’s significantly more render/data intensive to render HD images from the surface of a sphere looking in, instead of a single spherical HD image radiating out from a single point. For what you’re describing, the better solution might be to use something like SketchFab which provides an interactive 3D viewer for a model. I’ve got a series coming up that will demo how to use the free SketchFab exporter to create rotateable objects.

Thanks a lot, Donovan!

I look forward to see your introduction here about SketchFab! Sounds very promising. I guess you might explore this theme deeply as well as in your clear presentation style. :o)

Makes me want to ask for more of course! VR-Objects via three.js or Unity, perhaps Unreal? Sorry I couldn’t resist, for now, I will be happy with your next installment and perhaps that will supply all our members need already!

Thanks again!
