Hi Cineversity,

Is there a way to loop the wind deformer so I can have a loopable flag?

I appreciate any input.

Thanks!

Hi TCG,

The Wind Deformer is more designed to deliver something that is not directly loop-able.

However, you can set up your Wind-Deformer with a Polygon object and use the Object Manager>Tags>Character Tags>Point Cache. Set the scene to get on “cycle” and cache it. Then switch the Deformer off.

Set the scene to the time you need.

In the Attribute Manager, of the cache, you will find an option to “Loop” and to “Blend” the “recording”. This should eliminated the start and end differences of the Wind Deformer.

IF you like to have more control, the Animation Clip option allows for blending clips. Your animation needs to be baked for that into a clip and then you can work with such like in an film-edit app.

All the best
